"Our gracious and loving Father, we are grateful that you have given to us such a wonderful illustration of self-sacrifice in Jesus Christ your Son. We thank you that he never thought of himself, but always regarded life as valuable only in so far as he could give us his own pleasures for the good of others. Teach us to be like him. We pray for his sake. Amen."
