For Good Friday

"May no thought be nearer us today, O Christ, than that of your great victory over sin and death. As we think of you, suffering on the cross upon the very day of the year which we commemorate, may we look beyond and think of the beauty of your resurrection which overcomes the gloom of the tomb.
