"Our blessed Lord and Master, deliver us, we pray you, from all sins which are born of selfishness and self-esteem. May we value others, and enjoy with them the gifts and talents you have bestowed upont them. Teach us the joy of appreciation, and may we covet only those gifts of your Spirit which we may cultivate. Amen."

"Deliver us, O God, from the sin of selfishness. May we covet no man's gold or goods, but learn to save or share for you. May we never be more thoughtful of our own posessions than we are of yours. In Christ's name we ask it. Amen."
