"We thank you, our Father, for the boyhood picture of Jesus Christ. We praise you for the knowledge that he was natural and genuine when a child, that he was not injured by new and remarkable experience, and that in willing obediene he went back from the temple to his quiet home. We thank you that he is our children's patterm. Amen."

"Almighty God, give us such confidence in you that we may trust you at all times. Give us such knowledge of our own weakness that we may rely on you alone. We thank you for the sympathy and love which you have in your common suffering with us. May we give this comfort to those who know you not. Amen."

"Heavenly Father, we thank you that Jesus Christ was a man subject to like passions with us. We thank you that he gave himself for us. We thank you that he is the Bread of life. May we eat of him daily, that we may grow stronger. Amen."

"We thank you, our God and Father, that you have given to us a realization of yourself, as we have seen Jesus Christ at times transfigured before us. May the transfiguration of Christ mean the trasformation of our lives. May we see you as a Saviour in our justification, but see you as a Sanctifier through the Holy Spirit. Amen."

"Almighty God, our Father in heaven, we thank you that we do not walk alone, for we walk a path which you have walked.
