"Help us, O Lord of the Sabbath, to gain a spirit of genuine worship and helpfulness. May we destroy the critical spirit within us by fostering the helpful and sympathetic outlook. May mercy and compassion control our motives that we may fill each Lord's day with deeds of worship and praise. Amen."

March 7

"Give to us, our God, a larger view of your kingdom and your work. May we hear your command, "Go you into all the world," and have the peace of your presence always with us. May we meet our own doubts as you did meet those of your disciples, with the definite command of large, world-wide duty. In Christ's name. Amen."

March 6

"Our loving and merciful Lord, may we go out of our way to do deeds of love and kindness to others. May those who have never known you take notice of you through the unselfish and gracious mercy of your followers, and may we all be on the lookout every day for those who need our help. Amen."

"Our Father in heaven, we pray you that we may be kept from making foolish and wicked promises. Give us wisdom and strength to break from all companions who prompt us to do evil, or who tempt us to make sunful promises. In Jesus' name. Amen."

"Almighty and ever-blessed God, our hearts cry out to you that in sending the gospel story to the nations of the earth our own Christian nations may not disregard and disobey the laws. May we remember you, your day, your Word, your sanctuary, the home, and honest, pure and kindly life. Amen."

"Our heavenly Father, we thank you that you are always willing to reveal yourself to those who are willing listeners. We thank you that your word does not return to you void. Keep us, we pray you, from careless and thoughtless lives, that we may have ears to hear your message constantly. Amen."

"Almighty and eternal God, you who are the only true God, grant to us, your children, hearts always in tune with you. May it be our constant joy to do your will, with all our hearts. May we learn to love you more as we follow your comands. Keep us so near you that we may not be influenced by other companions. For Christ's sake. Amen."
